cuttle and the kelp

The film explores the British coastline, focusing on conservation issues and the regeneration of habitats and marine life. Jacob was the main camera operator for both underwater and studio shoots. The project, filmed in 2024, is currently awaiting further story development and editing.

Paridise in peril

This award winning short film was produced and filmed by Jacob and highlights the issues coral reefs face within some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world.

2022

KELP!

Jacob worked on this multi award winning production as the underwater camera operator, drone operator, and filmed several interview shoots. The film explores the opportunities kelp provides for local communities and the potential it offers to companies such as Notpla, which, following exposure from the film, went on to win the prestigious Earthshot Prize after its release in 2022.

When People Protect The Ocean

This short film highlights the importance of local communitys coming together to protect the local marine habitats and see how oceans can bounce back from dredging if given the time and protection. Jacob was producer-director and editor on this production.

A Hidden Life of Coral

This film uses time-lapse imagery to show the moment of different coral species. Produced and edited by Jacob this project captured over 17,000 images to show the hidden world and movement of coral.
